Stif to distribute Zerode Bikes’ Taniwha in UK market
Stif Mountain Bikes have revealed that it has taken on the UK distribution of Zerode Bikes Taniwha bike – a gearbox driven full-suspension platform.
Offering a fleet of demo units, Stif will encourage riders to sling a leg over the unique Enduro platform, which uses a wide-ranging 12-speed pinion gearbox to things clean and protected from rocks.
On this, the first non downhill build from Zerode, you’ll find a proven suspension platform, providing 160mm of travel and combined with a fixed chain line optimizes pedaling performance through the entire travel range.
Stif Manager Sammy Smithson said: “Zerode is a brand that perfectly fits the Stif ethos of bringing high quality and performance mountain bike products to our current and ever expanding customer base. As soon as we heard about the new Taniwha we knew that it would be a great match, and we’re looking forward to working with Rob and Zerode on this and in the future.”
Stif will be showing the Taniwha for the first time in the UK this weekend (5th-7th August) at the ‘Ard Rock Enduro festival in Reeth, North Yorkshire. A basic frame, Fox Factory Float X and Pinion drivetrain will retail at £4,500. A complete bike specced with a Pike RCT3 will also be available at £5,500.
The first frames are due to arrive in the UK in September (Med & Lg), with XL sizes due to follow soon after.
