Taipei Cycle draws 13,500 attendees to physical show

Despite ongoing travel restrictions limiting international attendees, the Taipei Cycle physical show attracted around 13,500 visitors across 4 days, remaining “international in spirit.”

Whilst the physical show drew to a close on Saturday March 12, TAIPEI CYCLE DigitalGo, the virtual counterpart, which can be visited here https://online.taipeicycle.com.tw/ will continue until April 8, enabling international networking opportunities via the business matchmaking sessions.

Show organizer TAITRA reports, “64 business matchmaking meetings were conducted between Taiwanese exhibitors and buyers from 20 countries including Italy, Japan, UK, Lithuania, Germany, Poland, South Africa, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Spain, India, Israel, France, Austria, Turkey and the UAE.”

Despite international exhibitors being unable to visit the physical show in person, TAIPEI CYCLE remains an important ‘hub event’, providing opportunities to exchange and acquire critical global market focused business information.

“Notably, many of this year’s local visitors were from automobile and ICT industries, which may suggest that ICT integration into the cycling industry will be an upcoming trend” highlights TAITRA.

This observation does reflect an industry and market wide trend which gained notable visibility and voice at, and following, IAA 2021, reflecting increasing cross sector collaboration, whilst also driving significant M&A activity, as well as a flurry of investment in e-mobility.
