Uplift Live event: Insights and inspiration from female cycling industry leaders
Uplift, the mentorship programme for women in the cycling industry, has announced a free to attend, live panel discussion and networking session – tickets available here.
The live event – aimed at male, female, and non-binary attendees – takes place in Shoreditch, London, just ahead of the Rouleur Live show on November 2nd, brings together female leaders in the cycling industry with the next generation of talent, hosted around a live panel discussion, followed by a networking event.
The inaugural Uplift mentorship programme received 160 applications in less than 14 days. From this group 12 mentees have been selected, and paired with mentors, forming the 2023 Uplift cohort.
At the live event attendees will see Shift Active Media’s Business Director and Uplift Founder, Rachael Burnside, joined on stage by 4 mentors of the programme, exploring a range of discussion topics including navigating a predominantly male industry, how to support women in cycling, and encouraging the next generation to enter.

Uplift Live will provide a platform for the next generation of women in the cycling industry to gain valuable insights into the personal and professional journeys of female business leaders. Uplift’s ultimate goal is to support and accelerate the progress of women working in cycling, bringing together a network of like-minded individuals passionate about change, and enabling new female talent to thrive and define the sector.
