Urban Arrow teams with Zoomo to bring its eCargo bikes to wider fleet audience

Last mile electric fleet solutions business Zoomo has partnered with medium-sized cargo bike provider Urban Arrow to bolster the offerings available through its Zoomo platform.

This partnership combines Urban Arrow’s bike range with Zoomo’s global sales, maintenance, software and financing capabilities, offering customers in the urban logistics space a more diverse range of sustainable and efficient fleet subscription solutions.

Urban Arrow, owned by Pon Bike, will have its eCargo bikes (Cargo L and XL Cargo Line Rohloff) available through Zoomo. The eCargo bikes will integrate into the Zoomo platform and will be offered alongside its fleet management software and related solutions.

Urban Arrow will therefore have access to new markets via the partnership and potentially broaden its user base through Zoomo’s subscription packages. In addition, Urban Arrow’s existing and future customers get access to Zoomo’s dedicated servicing network, software platform and finance offering.

Bike brands with a fleet and last-mile delivery-focused line-up may well watch this deal closely, with access to the fleet market and its many sizeable potential customers a significant avenue for growth.

Both Zoomo and Urban Arrow said they are committed to facilitate the logistics industry’s shift towards greener, more cost-effective and efficient transportation. Urban Arrow bikes will be available immediately in the UK and Europe through Zoomo.

Michael Johnson, Co-Founder and CRO, Zoomo, said: “Partnering with Urban Arrow represents a major win for Zoomo and our customers in the urban logistics space. By adding Urban Arrow’s cutting-edge hardware into our platform, we can offer our customers even more sustainable and efficient fleet solutions, while expanding our servicing capabilities. Urban Arrow’s global reach also presents a significant opportunity for us to grow our business, while helping our customers expand their fleets and reduce their environmental impact.”

Jorrit Kreek, Co-Founder, Urban Arrow, said: “At Urban Arrow we are thrilled to partner with Zoomo. With Zoomo being the world’s leading platform for commercial micromobility fleets, we are proud to see our Urban Arrow electric cargo bikes being ridden by industry leading companies.”

Urban Arrow’s cargo bikes combine the load capacity of a van with the agility of an e-bike. They are equipped with the Bosch Cargo Line motor and a suspended front fork to ensure smooth transport from A to B. The Cargo L and XL come with multiple box variants with the ability to carry up to 620 litres, making it ideal for a wide range of business needs.

eCargo bikes can reportedly deliver goods 60% faster than vans in city centres, providing a more efficient alternative for last-mile delivery. Furthermore, e-cargo bikes can replace up to 17% of van kilometres by 2030 in major world cities, resulting in significant CO2 emission savings.
