Wilier to leave Hotlines & pursue dealer-direct approach

Wilier Triestina has announced it will pursue a new sales direction in the UK, and will split from current distributor Hotlines at the end of June this year.

The Italian bicycle manufacturer will be moving to a direct sales model in the UK for the 2020 season, and from 30th June all sales will be serviced directly by the brand from its HQ in Rossano Veneto, Italy.

This development brings the UK in line with the brand’s standard distribution model for Europe.

Hotlines’ Ed Ibbetson said: “We wish Wilier, and Wilier retailers, the best of luck with this new chapter in their sales development in the UK. In the interim Hotlines will continue to service the requirements of Wilier retailers and provide support up to the transition date.”

Enrico Gastaldaldello, Wilier CEO, added: “We would like to thank Hotlines for their help and professionalism in support of the Wilier brand over the last few years and we look forward to moving ahead with our new business model for Wilier in the UK.”

Up until the transition date, it will be business as usual and all enquiries should continue to be directed to Hotlines.
