Automotive biz Mubea to launch European made drive systems at Eurobike

Performance automotive manufacturer Mubea has announced its entry in to the electric bike market, starting with a Eurobike debut.

Designed and manufactured in Europe, the firm promises a curtain raiser on a new ultralight frame made of carbon-fiber reinforced plastics, a transmission-motor with an “automotive performance level”, and many other smaller and larger innovations.

Noted for producing high-performance products for car makers, Mubea already produces already produces automotive drive systems, among other performance parts.

Acknowledging a change in personal mobility habits, the business says of the diversification: “This engagement is no accident, instead it follows the insight that the foundation of parts of Mubea’s business along with individual mobility will change.”

Come Sunday 8th of July in Friedrichshafen the firm will host a launch party that reveals its new products. Of its drive system the firm’s early comments on the system promise “scores of features, setting it apart from competitors’ products.” These include a peak power of up to 4kW, gear shifting under load and without traction interruption, low maintenance by containment and oil-bath lubrication, comfort and optimal user control. What’s more, the firm say the system is “compact and easily integrated into bike frames.”

“The huge performance reserves of all components are a perfect starting point for an application in E-cargo-bikes”, says Project Manager Martino Lupo.
