Black Mountain Cycle Centre may face closure if retrospective planning not granted

A petition has gone live calling for support from users of the Black Mountain Cycle Centre – a UK favourite among downhill riders – which may face closure in part due to its own popularity.

“The centre is now faced with having to apply for retrospective planning permission due to the unforeseen growth and success of the business in the last 18 months,” offers the petition.

Responsible for creating jobs and bringing in cycle tourists from around the globe, the Centre has had a positive impact on the local economy, with pubs, shops and B&Bs all benefiting.

Should planning permission not be granted the Brecon Beacons centre may face complete closure, as well as loss of jobs.
