Bob Hoogerbrugge becomes Oneway bike’s new brand manager
Oneway Bike has brought in Bob Hoogerbrugge, 29, as its new brand manager. Hoogerbrugge started in the company’s workshop in 2021, later moving into the warranty and aftersales department. This new role will combine his passion for cycling and outdoor sports with strengthening brand relationships.
Schwalbe, SQlab, Ere Research, Newmen, and Cyclique are among the brands distributed by Oneway to shops in the UK, giving Hoogerbrugge a broad range of brands to work across. His new role will require him to devise strategies for these labels within the company.
Bob Hoogerbrugge will work closely with the marketing and sales team’s brand partners to ensure each individual brand receives the attention it needs. The end objective is to strengthen the bonds between Oneway and dealers. It will also connect brands to Oneway more than previously, creating a more harmonious brand identity.
Hoogerbrugge said: “I want our brands to truly resonate, both within our team and with our dealers. This way, we can create satisfied shops, happy customers, and a strong market presence.”
An avid mountain biker since 2015, Hoogerbrugge has built on his outdoor sports training and given mountain biking clinics at the Outdoor Valley in Bergschenhoek, The Netherlands. Outdoor Valley has a longstanding partnership with Oneway. This partnership is how Hoogerbrugge became part of Oneway initially.
Hoogerbrugge added: “This position is a fantastic opportunity to expand my knowledge and make a real difference for the brands we represent. I look forward to building strong, lasting relationships in the cycling industry and inspiring others to be just as passionate about our brands as I am.”
In his new role, Hoogerbrugge should be able to take advantage of the previous brand work Oneway has conducted. This includes the brands showroom, hosting all of its partners and brands bikes.
