China Cycle moves venue, shunts to August

An announcement made by leading Chinese trade show China Cycle has revealed that, in the face of zero-tolerance Covid measures in the country, the event will switch both venue and date.

Those turning to the show to help with their sourcing of goods will now need to pencil in August 4th to 7th on calendars and head instead for the Hefei Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Centre in the Hefei, Anhui Province. The centre is inland, about five hours west of Shanghai and accessible via the Hefei Xinqiao International Airport.

The host city is known as China’s science and technology region and as such visitors can expect convenient transportation, plus a network of accommodation and logistics partners able to help partners of the show.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and hope for your understanding and support. Let us work together to overcome difficulties and hold a successful and unforgettable China Cycle exhibition for a better future for the bicycle industry,” wrote the organisers in a home page notice.

Lockdowns in the country have come at short notice and were continuing to be rolled out as recently as last week in parts of Shanghai and other key cities. Ports have reopened on key trade routes and Shanghai’s flow in and out is normalising steadily.

The organisers of the show can be contacted by email here.
