CI.N European market observations
The European cycling market has seen a succession of political and societal boosts in the last 3 years. Post COVID, a clear focus on maintaining and magnifying the role of micromobility has also moved the bicycle / eBike into a ‘front and centre’ role as a vital element in tackling the environmental impacts of legacy transport infrastructure and vehicle choices.
The French government has also outlined the economic opportunity a significant, sustained, shift to cycling as transport represents.
In February the European Parliament adopted a resolution to “double cycling miles” by 2030.
