CyclingIndustry.News hires Hayley Everett to staff writer role

CyclingIndustry.news today announces the further growth of our editorial team with the hire of Hayley Everett as staff writer.

Closely following the news that industry veteran John Styles also becomes a daily editorial resource, Everett bolsters our team, bringing to the role an National Council for the Training of Journalists Level 3 Diploma.

Having also completed work placements at PA Features, BBC Radio Sheffield and ITV Tonight, alongside voluntary work for Special Olympics GB, Everett has a wide-ranging media skillset that will help CI.N deliver on ambitions to grow the title’s diverse content flow.

Editor Mark Sutton shortly hands interim control to Jonathon Harker who will manage the title’s development through the first half of 2019.

Sutton said of the hire: “We saw in Hayley an initiative and enthusiasm for media that made her shine out among the many great candidates who applied for our staff writer vacancy. Alongside her journalism diploma, the plethora of work completed outside of her degree leads us to be extremely excited to develop our content pool with her experience put to good use.”

Everett added: “I’m really excited to join the team and to begin immersing myself in this industry, starting with the Cycle Show later this month. In the meantime, if you’ve any news to share with the trade I’d be glad to help, so please drop me a line to say hello!”
