enviolo appoints senior staff to lead product & business development
Cycling component firm, enviolo, has appointed three new department heads to further strengthen its core business pillars, due to a successful first half of 2019.
Peter Kreuder, Richard Hilgart and Koen van der Weerd have been appointed as department heads to lead product and business development within the business.
Peter Kreuder
Kreuder joined enviolo on 1st June as Director of Product Management from his previous role at Riese and Müller as head of R&D. Prior to this, Kreuder was Sales Director at Flyer and worked in Business Development for Trek.
He will be responsible for leading enviolo in creating and executing the brand’s product vision and roadmap, and will lead product management at both strategic and tactical level.
Kreuder said of his new role: “The world has yet to understand what a brilliant product the enviolo Internal Gear Hub is. And we at enviolo are going to tell this story.
“enviolo is about the future of global mobility. A future in which enviolo is the number one choice for e-bike makers all over the world.”
Richard Hilgart
Richard Hilgart, previously in charge of product management, will now head of the new marketing team as Senior Marketing Manager. Workign for enviolo since the start of 2016, Hilgart has been instrumental in both the improvement of product quality and the launch of the current product portfolio.
While Product Manager, he championed the latest automatic stepless-shifting system from enviolo, which will be launching later this year. According to enviolo, Hilgart’s product knowledge, industry experience and dedication gives him a unique perspective when launching products to market.
Hilgart added: “I am excited to go full cycle with the new automatic product introduction from first idea to commercialisation, while leading enviolo’s marketing initiatives into the digital future.”
Koen van der Weerd
Finally, Koen van der Weerd has been appointed Director of Business Development since May 1st. Previously, van der Weerd held the role of Export Manager for Royal Dutch Gazelle, pon bike, where he led the strategy for international growth of e-bikes.
In his new role, he will be responsible for the worldwide sales activities and driving strategy to maximise value for both existing and key growth markets.
van der Weerd commented: “As an industry, we are looking at so much potential to sustain the growth of both e-bike sales and usage in the coming years. With enviolo, we simply offer a fantastic product that enhances the premium riding experience and durability that more and more cyclists are looking for.”
