enviolo sees 40% growth and brings in 3 new Business Development Leads
Stepless gear-shifting brand enviolo closed the decade with a positive 40% revenue growth in 2019, year-on-year over 2018.
The growth at enviolo, which last year began working with Tern, has led to the appointment of three experienced Business Development Leads.
Previous IBG Senior Category Manager, Kirsten van Steenberge, has over 12 years experience in the cycling industry. Alongside Kirsten, Joost Koelega, joins the cycling technology company with over 15 years of account management expertise with a strong focus on electronics. The final addition joins the team from Sunrace Sturmey-Archer; Kevin Wilmsen is an avid road cyclist competitor with more than 10 years in the industry on and off the road. The new Business Development leads joined enviolo on 3 January and will be based out of Amsterdam.
The three new team members come after enviolo hired its Director of Business Development, Koen van der Weerd, in May 2019. He said: “The business momentum for the bicycle market is fantastic, especially looking at the premium segments in eBikes, eCargo and bike share, for all of which we have great products. With the latest additions to our team, I’m confident that we can continue to build great partnerships with our customers in developing outstanding bicycle portfolios.”
The growth at enviolo comes as the firm aims to become a major player in the e-Bike industry, not least with a raft of senior appointments to support products like AUTOMATiQ. Alongside the recruitment of van der Weerd from Gazelle in May, enviolo also brought in former Riese and Muller R&D head Peter Kreuder as Director of Product Management and promoted Richard Hilgart to Senior Marketing Manager.
