Haibike launch all new Lyke eMTB trail bike

Haibike has launched its lightest bike to date – the all-new Lyke – a 140mm travel trail bike weighing in at just over 18Kg, powered by the Fazua Ride60 system with 60Nm of torque and 450 Watts of peak power.

With ambitious trail-riders targeted, the Lyke is designed and crafted from a blend of materials, pairing a light carbon frame with an alloy rocker, for increased durability. Interestingly the frame design also includes an easily accessible and removable 430 Watt Hour battery.

As a 140mm front and back trail bike the Lyke has been engineered around an all new kinematic concept, ensuring the Lyke delivers for riders uphill as well as downhill.

Fitted with the Fazua Ride60 system, which packs an impressive power-to-weight capacity ratio into a small and compact size has enabled designers and engineers to go with a closed downtube, adding to a sleek aesthetic as well as the ease with which its decoupled battery can be removed. Of that removable battery, the concept of decoupling the motor and battery also makes for a lower than standard battery position, providing an even lower centre of gravity, positively impacting stability and control.

As an emerging segment in the eMTB market, lightweight trail bikes are designed around all day, any trail, fun. The Lyke looks like no Haibike that came before it, and with a the full 29” wheel set and balanced 140/140mm travel, is designed from the ground up to create a ride experience which handles technical descents with confidence.

With this in mind, the Lyke’s geometry counters front-end rise, offering a relaxed yet highly efficient uphill riding position. The bike’s well-balanced slack angles result in a dynamic trail bike that offers a great all-around feel, adding speed, fun, and capability to any riding adventure.
