KTM Industries and Puello family found Pexco e-mobility business

Radmarkt is reporting that KTM Industries has forged a relationship with the Puello family to create a new e-mobility entity, dubbed Pexco GmbH.

To be based in Schweinfurt and with further sites to be established throughout Europe and Asia the new company draws on the experience of KTM Industries, not to be confused with Austrian bicycle supply arm KTM Fahrrad GmbH. KTM Industries is Europe’s largest motorcycle maker and has pioneered electric technologies in the market.

The mission statement of the new business appears to be to develop technology and solutions for the field of zero emissions lightweight vehicles, notably electric bikes and bicycles.

Susanne Puello, who left the Winora Group back in March of this year, will reportedly take control of the business as CEO. A meet and greet event is now expected to take place at Eurobike, though it may be later in 2017 before the company debuts any product concepts.

Others confirmed to have joined as part of the business pairing include Alex Thusbass who lends his experience as a consultant.

The PEXCO banner stands for Puello eMobility Crossover Company.
