maxon launches new invisible BIKEDRIVE Air e-Bike system

The Swiss Mars Rover component supplier, Maxon, has announced the launch of its new light and invisible e-Bike system, the BIKEDRIVE Air, which features a mid-mounted motor, integrated battery, and control element.

The invisible e-Bike system weighs only 3.5 kg (including the battery) and can be integrated into a variety of frames by bike manufacturers. The e-Bike drive is almost completely hidden as well as the 250 Wh battery, which is hidden in the down tube. The range can also be doubled with an additional battery if desired.

Riders have the option of individually adjusting the support levels provided by the e-bikes and easily accessing important data at any time. To support this function, maxon developed the maxon Connect app which features ANT+ or Bluetooth (BLE). Other devices such as: Garmin, Sigma, o-synce, can also be connected easily. For dealers, there is also a user-friendly Service app.

maxon will be offering the BIKEDRIVE Air system exclusively to bike manufacturers and is available for consultation from this summer. Partners are already integrating the drive into new bike product lines and will launch on the market later this year.
