Nuun hands Extra UK distribution of key lines, goes vegan friendly with removal of artificial ingredients

Hydration specialists nuun has handed Extra their UK distribution, with stock expected with dealers from next week.

Now available for pre-order, dealers can stock up on nuun Active, nuun Boost, Plus for nuun and nuun All Day products. Many of these have now been reformulated to remove all artificial ingredients.

Active and nuun Boost now all use plant-based ingredients, including Stevia leaf extract and avocado oil. The performance of the product is also improved with the addition of non-GMO sourced dextrose, meaning the product is now certified Vegan, Gluten free, Soy and Dairy free and ‘Clean Sport’ via Informed-Choice Trusted By Sport.

By adding Plus for nuun to the range a customisable approach to hydration is achieved, says the brand. Each 20 gram tab contains performance carbohydrate and enables the balance between electrolyte replacement and endurance at the desired level for each and every activity.

Andy Wellman, nuun V.P of Operations and International Business Development, said “Choosing Extra as our exclusive partner will enable nuun to develop further on the strong foundation already established within the UK for the brand.”

Steve Davey, Extra Managing Director, added “We are delighted to be working with nuun and company who repeatedly set the standards within the sports drink market and we look forward to playing our part in their continued success within the UK.”

Further details are now on the B2B site at extra.co.uk, or available via your area sales manager.
