Oakley added to Citrus-Lime’s integrated suppliers
Retail solutions provider Citrus-Lime has added Oakley to its range of integrated suppliers for its UK cycle dealerships. A full range of cycling glasses and helmets from Oakley are now available on its supplier integrated module (SIM) and AutoSIM.
Patrick Adamson, Citrus-Lime’s AutoSIM team leader. “This is a major coup for us. Oakley is one of the biggest, most recognisable brands on the planet, so to have it on our list of suppliers is great for us but, more importantly, great for our customers.
“Having Oakley data means retailers can access fast, accurate item information at the push of a button. They can also go one step further by populating their website’s product pages with detailed product descriptions to help them sell more online.”
Oakley product data is available on its unique web-enabled data platform, AutoSIM as well as being added to Citrus-Lime’s supplier integration feed to POS systems. This enables retailers to import detailed item information directly into its ecommerce platform. This can be performed as soon as stock is received automatically, as part of its goods in procedure.
Adamson added: “It’s great to be working with the team at Citrus-Lime to support our network of IBD’s”, said Sam Clark, Oakley Sport Account Manager. “In the short time we’ve been on AutoSIM we’ve seen more of our dealers able to list Oakley products online, advertising their product range to their customers and supporting sell through.
“Getting product data on the website is one of the main reasons why some retailers struggle selling online. But with AutoSIM, bike dealers can push short and long descriptions, tech specs and images to their website as soon as stock is booked in. Getting those Oakley products online and in front of customers straight away is key to selling at full margin for longer during high season.
“The time it saves is massive, which means getting more products online faster, resulting in more sales in-store and online. It also reduces the amount of discounting they’ll have to do at the end of the season, which ultimately has a much more positive impact on their achieved margins across the season.”
Citrus-Lime recently partnered with cycle insurance specialist VeloLife for in-store integration via Citrus-Lime’s cloud POS platform.
