Off-road specialists Bombtrack create SEIDO Bicycle Components
Off-road specialists Bombtrack have announced the launch of SEIDO components, tapping into years of knowledge and experience gained through the producing premium off road adventure bikes.
Pronounced [se\:do], from the Japanese 精度 meaning ‘precision and accuracy’, SEIDO will release high-quality components and accessories for two-wheeled adventures across any terrain. The exciting range boasts features you won’t see anywhere else–everything from handlebars to bottom brackets, from seat posts to saddles.
The brand’s inaugural release is the MGV Fork, a fully UD carbon construction, which can be retro fitted on many of Bombtrack’s frames, enabling riders to take their pick of a plethora of cargo configurations via the triple cage mounts, and choose headlights (hosts internal cable routing options for rides that roll into the night) or fenders, thanks to the multiple mounting points available.
Throughout the year, expect to see the SEIDO range grow to include:
- An ultralight, all-road, Acceleron Wheelset
- Heavy-duty Magnon hoops
- Multi-terrain, tubeless-ready Spade Tyres
- TAB Bar Tape for extra grip in wet or dry conditions
- Light, high-density saddles to suit any rider
Accessories will be developed with the specific aim of enabling riders to exploring further, for longer. SEIDO will be fully available worldwide.
Making the announcement, Harald Schmid, CEO of We Make Things GmbH point out that these developments are, “born of the desire to produce parts we could not find anywhere else, (that) SEIDO grew alongside the development of our range of complete Bombtrack bikes. Now helping all riders benefit from the solutions we’ve created, SEIDO makes these technologies universally available.”
Whilst Bombtrack bikes are part of the Lyon Cycle group of products, SEIDO will be brought into the UK by a different distributor.
