Sports hydration brand Osmo is set to relaunch in January with original CEO and co-founder Ben Capron back leading the business.
The January relaunch will see product sold through distribution partners, local retailers and direct online via osmonutrition.com.
“It’s surreal, but awesome how things have turned out,” says Capron. “Osmo was founded to help athletes feel great and be great. The product and science from Osmo have always supported that. Peter (Sagan) was one athlete we started helping back in 2013, and like many, he’s come to rely on Osmo every time he rides. Peter has relied on Osmo exclusively and, more than anyone in the world, he wanted to see the brand go forward. My partner, Lee Hutchinson, and I have purchased Osmo, Peter is on board, and we’re well positioned to bring the same scientifically proven products to athletes around the world. We’re happy to make Osmo available to everyone who has been asking for it.”
Centering its science primarily around rehydration, Osmo’s product claims to replace body water twice as much as water.
Product tailored to both men and women is set for the January relaunch, including three products for each focused on the stage the athlete is in when hydrating—Preload Hydration, Active Hydration, and Acute Recovery. The product offering will look like this:
