PaceUp Media enlisted by Bikebook to deliver global PR activity
Online cycling technology platform Bikebook has acquired the services of PaceUp Media, the PR and communications agency for sporting brands. PaceUp Media will provide public relations support across Bikebooks international expansion.
Bikebook started out offering comprehensive directory design to help mechanics grow their online presence. The company later launched its fully integrated, multi-faceted bicycle shop management tool named Workshop in April 2024.
By combining with PaceUp Media, Bikebooks hopes to ‘modernise and facilitate’ the bicycle repair process. Businesses can be better connected with customers using the tools provided to individual mechanics through the system.
Customers range from part-time home mechanics to large bike shop chains.
Ryan Elson, Bikebook co-founder, said: “We’re excited to start 2025 with PaceUp onboard, leveraging their knowledge and understanding of the cycling landscape globally. This year’s an important one for the business as we expand our operations and their support will play a key role in our growth.”
The tech firm, originally from Brighton, has just finished a recent round of investment to enable its launch into international markets. PaceUp has worked closely with Maap, Rouvy, Le Tour de France, London Marathon, Laureus, and Basso Bikes as some of their partners. It has established itself within the endurance sports world.
Tom Copeland, PaceUp director, added: “We’ve followed Bikebook’s journey from its infancy when first exhibiting at the Cycle Show, so to finally now reconnect and have the opportunity to bring our ideas and connections to life to bolster the brand at this stage of its journey is an exciting prospect for us all. We’re looking forward to working closely with Ryan, Jake and the team this year on an international scale.”
The partnership is the latest in a range of announcements from Bikebook, including recent partnerships with the Association of Cycle Traders and Saledock.
