Dear Paligap Customer (Dealer)
I am writing this letter to update you and clarify Paligap’s position as I appreciate there are rumours within the bicycle industry regarding our business, and I would prefer you hear firsthand some of the changes we have made.
As you are very aware the UK Cycling industry is going through a turbulent period and we have reacted quickly to ensure that Paligap remains financially strong.
We ended our long relationship with the Saris Cycling Group at the end of September and had planned for this reduction in our business. Part of this restructuring has involved a streamlining of our operations which have included voluntary redundancies.
Paligap has a strong offering of a selected number of brands and will be focusing our team’s efforts on expanding our business in these areas, in particular, Stan’s No Tubes where we have bolstered our team which is led by Diego Di Napoli – Stan’s No Tubes & Goodyear Brand Manager Diego is backed up by a team of Sales & Merchandisers, Pim Ramselaar South, & Thomas Wild North & Scotland.
Alé clothing continues to go from strength to strength, with custom clothing, in particular, being a major growth area (for further information please contact Rebecca Pring or in-house designer Ben Wallace)
Matt Vanenkevort, Marin bikes CEO commented “Marin is aware of the challenge faced by Paligap, and their efforts to streamline their operations and emerge as a healthy, vital company. During this time, we would like to reiterate our 100% commitment to the UK market. Marin bikes has a long history in the UK, and we have no plans to reduce our presence, service, or availability. In short, Marin is committed to the UK market, our UK dealers, and of course the cycling public.”
If you have any enquiries regarding Marin bikes please contact Marin Brand Manager Oli Brown or Jon Carter, Internal Area Account Manager. Both Oli and Jon can answer any questions you have on the very impressive 2019 Marin range.
If you wish to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact either Mark Edwards, John Jennings or myself.
