Polaris takes on eco-conscious aftercare brand Nikwax

Award-winning eco-conscious aftercare brand Nikwax has signed Polaris Bikewear as a trade distributor for the cycling industry.

Nikwax has designed and developed cleaning and waterproofing products for 40 years to keep outdoor gear and clothing comfortable, protected and lasting longer. Nikwax products are water-based, safe and easy to use and in addition are PFC-free.

Nikwax products, aimed at road and mountain bikers, include Softshell Proof spray on, Glove Proof, Nikwax Tech Wash, Base Wash and Wool Wash.

Based on the edge of the Peak District, Polaris was founded 25 years ago by Roger Dillon. A fell runner who started designing his own bikewear when he found his fell running gear was not well suited to a then-new passion for MTBing. Now, the Polaris team will distribute the select, cycling-specific range of Nikwax products to major retailers and Polaris’ network of independent bicycle dealers.
