Retail expert Alf Dunbar to host seminars at IceBike* 2019
Madison and Sportline has announced that retail legend Alf Dunbar will speak at next month’s IceBike* trade show.
Dunbar, hailed one of the top performance coaches within the customer service industry, has previously worked with John Lewis, Tesco and M&S. With over 12 years practical retail experience and 11 years as a top performance coach, he has coached thousands of people from a variety of retailing and business backgrounds.
Dunbar will host a couple of seminars each day focused on how to greet and approach customers, up-sell, close sales and give excellent till service.
Aled Gamble, Madison’s Communications and Sponsorship Manager, said: “We think it will be incredibly worthwhile having someone from outside cycling to offer a different perspective on retail best practices. Hopefully, dealers will really benefit from listening to someone like Alf who has such a wealth of retail experience – he will be around to answer any questions after his seminar at the show too.”
Dunbar has his own training company, and has created his highly regarded You Are The Difference (YATD) customer service coaching programme, developed from experience of years of working on the shop floor. YATD is used widely throughout the UK and in 25 countries around the world.
