Sea Otter Classic announce Monterey festival dates

The Monterey Sea Otter Classic has announced new dates for its cycling festival, scheduled to take place from 20-23 May 2021.

According to organisers, the health and safety of attendees will be its top priority. The group plan to work with Monterey County health officials to ensure all proper health and safety protocols are in place.

Sea Otter Classic have also announced that if the scheduled Spring event is unable to take place, backup dates have already been arranged for 7-10 October 2021.

2020 saw the Sea Otter Classic festival move from April to October amid coronavirus concerns and then cancelled as cases began to rise once more.

Additionally, Sea Otter also launched a virtual festival concept dubbed Sea Otter Play that took place successfully on September 17-20, 2020. The show was streamed online, alongside a number of cycling challenges and a fundraising effort for relief against the virus. Beneficiaries included the Monterey County Covid-19 Relief Fund, Boys & Girls Club of Monterey and the Monterey Off-Road Cycling Association.
