Sigma Sport welcomes new Managing Director

Sigma Sport has announced Andre Bachmann as its new CEO, joined the management team of Sigma-Elektro GmbH on 1 June.

In making the announcement, Sigma Managing Director Robin Schendel comments; “Andre Bachmann has extensive experience in the sports and bicycle industry. We are very pleased to have been able to attract Andre to our company.”

As the long-standing managing director of New Wave GmbH, Bachmann was mainly responsible for the Craft brand, which is well-known in cycling and other sports. Here, Bachmann was in charge of German sales and was also responsible for the brand’s strategy in various working groups within the group.

As a result, Bachmann brings with him extensive know-how in the areas of strategic business development, marketing and sales.

“He is an outstanding executive with many years of experience in the sports industry and bicycle sector, “highlights Schendel. “For Sigma, this appointment is an important step to re-establish and further strengthen the company with the goal of internationalizing sales and marketing, and to even better tap the potential in this area.”
