Storck Bicycles sales up 117% in 2021, Porsche link well received

Storck Bicycles has revealed record growth, adding 117.5% in sales growth during the 2021 financial year, according to press in Europe.

It has most notably been online-based direct sales that have propelled the company advance, which report an increase to the tune of nearly 300%.

A plethora of new models, seven to be exact, have come to market through 2021, with best-sellers coming from both the road and gravel segments.

Alongside, Storck has eyes for e-Mobility too, bringing to market the Cyklær product division in tandem with Porsche interests Fazua and Greyp. These electric bikes have been the recipient of numerous awards such as German Design, Public Choice, European Product Design and International Design gongs. This arm of the bicycle brand is linked with Porsche Digital, a platform that offers digital services for the cycling experience.

Florian Rothfuss, Head of Customer Innovation at Porsche Digital said on this collaboration: “The eBike really utilises the possibilities offered by digitalisation. It is sporty and light and, thanks to its e-drive, also ensures a comfortable ride to work. In addition, riders can enjoy a host of benchmark-setting features that will continue to be further developed by us in the future – with their cooperation.”

“The newly introduced models came at the right time and are up to date. The numerous test wins and design awards in the past year prove how excellently we are positioned for the future,” said Founder Markus Stork.

“We carefully analyze the feedback from our customers and therefore invest heavily in our ability to deliver. In order to ensure continuous production, we have placed very forward-looking orders for the coming years. In this way, we can serve the continued strong increase in demand for our products. In the course of the strong growth in sales, we are also expanding our team of cycling enthusiasts. We created numerous new jobs last year and plan to double the workforce again. In particular, we see the passion and motivation of our team as the basis of our success,” says Storck Managing Director Dr. Todor Lohwasser.
