The Bike Place: Simplon and Amps sign for this weekend’s show

Austria’s Simplon and electric bike specialist AMPS have signed for last minute space at The Bike Place Show, which begins this Sunday at Silverstone.

Organiser Sean Reynolds told CyclingIndustry.News: “Though i’m running about all over the place getting last minute arrangements set i’m beginning to really look forward to this year’s show. We’ve some great last minute signings and countless reasons to make the journey, from free inner tubes through show exclusive offers and product. Last year’s most common complaint – the lack of proper coffee – has been addressed too!”

Simplon has now appointed Kevin Burton to handle its UK sales and will be welcoming dealers to view its extensive Austrian-made catalogue of road, mountain and electric bikes. One of the brand’s biggest promises to dealer partners is the vow to ensure the brand is sold through reputable independent bike stores only.

Likewise, new AMPS recruit Jeremy Crook will be on hand to talk retailers through the Riese & Muller and Wisper portfolios.

On the topic of proper coffee, Red Cloud Marketing will be sponsoring a “proper barista” to be found alongside the debut opening of the International Media Centre.

For those with interests beyond bikes, X-bionic has also announced a competition to win a pair of VIP tickets to join the brand at the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Series Race at Silverstone later this year. The Italian manufacturer will also debut its Pro Continental Team kit on its booth.

CyclingIndustry.News will be present throughout the duration of the show, both on the booth and reporting from the show floor. If you’d like to sign up for a free copy of the Trade Journal, or would like to check in with our live industry jobs board, pop by the stand at Hall 3, stand 33E.

Furthermore, the first 200 visitors through the doors on Sunday will be handed goodie bags.
