Yorkshire’s Restrap continues expansion with new Australian distributor

After a successful 2018 season with sales over 200% up on 2017, Restrap has secured a new exclusive distribution partnership with Link Sports Pty in Australia.

Occupying a large workshop in Leeds, Restrap produces a full range of bags, luggage and accessories.

The deal is the latest for Restrap, which already has distribution in South Korea, China, France, Switzerland, USA, Denmark, Belgium  Cyprus, Poland, Finland, Sweden, Norway and the UK.

“Restrap very much fits into our high function, great value ethos, that is in-house designed and made, with personalised quality control, that we are sure will last for generations,” said MD Alan David. “We very much like the story of Nathan in the early days recycling seat belts, hand washing the material and creating his first products at home.

“Contrast that to the current CNC enabled manufacturing processes employing locals in Yorkshire and it very much fits in with our values of offering problem solving solutions and passion for bikes for our market place.”

Sales Director Edward Kingston added: “Link Sports Ltd and the team are a perfect fit for Restrap with their brand’s portfolio including Bombtrack and understand the adventure cycling market. This combined with a strong sales strategy and knowledge of the local market makes this an ideal partner for Restrap in the Australian market.”

Link Sport Pty Ltd, previously Pushie Enterprises Pty Ltd, was established in 2010 by primary partners Alan David (MD) and Sam Russell (director business development).
