Apidura launches interactive tool to find the perfect frame pack fit

Apidura has announced a new Interactive Sizing Tool which enables bikepackers to dial their frame bag fit without the frustration of print outs and templates.

Using the Interactive Sizing Tool creates a virtual setup so riders can see the precise fit of different packs, including mountain bike options, for which the brand recommend selecting Backcountry Series packs to achieve the optimum fit.

On the face of it, attaching gear to bikes is simple. From the low-tech approach of strapping things to your frame to high end, technical bikepacking equipment, there has never been more choice and it’s never been easier to pack some gear and head out on an adventure. There’s one area of the bike that we’ve found bikepackers struggle more with than any other, however – the frame bag.

While most bikes have approximately the same shape and come in more-or-less standardized sizes, there’s a huge range of internal dimensions, making it challenging to know which frame pack will fit – and more importantly, which frame pack will fit well.

It’s for this very reason that Apidura has created the first ever Interactive Sizing Tool for bikepacking bags; taking the guess work, print outs and doubt out of finding the perfect frame pack fit.

The tool now ensures there aren’t many bikes for which riders can’t achieve a ‘custom’ fit – with an Apidura frame pack – without the wait time, measuring and back and forth which a truly custom frame pack require. Better still, because technically advanced techniques like RF welding (which are key for effective waterproofing) don’t lend themselves to custom, you’re getting more versatile and functional gear.

The brands hope is that this innovative new tool will not only make it less confusing, faster, and easier for bikepackers to find frame packs that fit but will also help reduce returns (and re-orders) associated with poorly fitting packs, reducing our environmental footprint.

The business originally rolled out a Free Instore Repairs Programme across Europe in 2019, which saw a further expansion of services in 2021.
