Babboe brings new spec Dog cargo bike to adventurous pet owners

Dutch cargo bike manufacturer, Babboe, is launching a new and improved specification of its Dog cargo bike this summer.

The Dog-E electric version of the bike has seen several updates and comes complete with a new, more powerful GWA system. The new pedal-assist now has eight different modes along with new LED front and rear lighting conveniently controlled via a handlebar switch.

The battery has been upgraded to a more powerful 32.85V with 42V charger along with an updated sturdy and stable carrier.

According to Babboe, this cargo bike is ideal for pet owners who want to take their animals with them when they ride. A ramp allows dogs to walk in and out of the cargo bike unassisted, alongside space for two children. The bike also has rings for dog leads to safely secure pets, coupled with accessories such as a non-slip mat and dog pillow.

Alongside the improved cargo bikes, the more robust rain tent is easier to use with dogs by allowing the bike’s ramp to be opening without removing the accessory for easy access.

The Babboe Dog-E has an RRP of £2,299 while the standard version retails at £1,599, both equipped with a five-year warranty.

Back in May, Babboe also launched its Slim Mountain model, aimed at adventurous families ahead of the summer.
