Bastian Dietz becomes SQlab Director Global Business Development
After a three-month sabbatical, Bastian Dietz is once again joining Boards&More, this time as Director Global Business Development at SQlab.
Dietz had been in charge for the global launch of ION Bike (founded by Boards&More), on marketing side, back in 2012 to 2015. Back then SQlab was not part of Boards&More, which was a deal done in 2021. SQlab and is leader in German speaking markets (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) in the ergonomic saddles, grips and handlebars category. Dietz will be mainly in charge for business development in markets outside GAS.
Based in Munich, Dietz simultaneously joins the advisory board of upcoming BOGBI cargo-bike brand.
BOGBI was founded by Norwegian & Columbian cycling enthusiasts in 2018, combining Scandinavian design and owned, fair production in Bogota. Dietz is advising on the upcoming brand-relaunch in Q4 2022, receiving company shares for his effort.
“I am very happy to join the Boards&More Family again,” states Dietz: “because I enjoyed the work with Till Eberle (CEO), Thomas Latein (Division Manager ION Bike), the whole team, and especially distribution partners, a lot. Plus I have been riding Tobias Heid’s (Founder SQlab) products in the past, became a fanboy. At the same time, I love the BOGBI concept, combining a social business approach with maximizing product lifetime.”
