Extra UK ramps up security with Black X distribution deal

Extra UK has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with BLACK X for their range of Smart Bike Locks for the UK and Ireland (via Irish subsidiary Cyclex).

As a sister company to OnGuard (also within the Extra UK distribution portfolio) and operating under the wider Magnum security family, BLACK X combines decades of engineering expertise with cutting‑edge innovation, allowing them to deliver advanced smart‑locking technology backed by a legacy of reliability and reputation for high‑performance security.

BLACK X was formulated to redefine the concept of security – not just as a means of protection but as a comprehensive ecosystem, with the brand’s engineers crafting advanced smart security technologies that are intuitive to use.

The range includes the Titan RockSolid Smart Lock at £269.99 SRP. This is reportedly the first smart lock on the market with built-in angle grinder resistance. Featuring a reinforced 15mm hardened steel shackle with RockSolid™ angle grinder-resistant coating and the patented Smart Locking Mechanism, it offers high security that stands up to cutting, jacking, prying and portable angle grinders. With advanced smart technology for keyless access cyclists can lock and unlock their bikes using secure digital encryption via the smartphone app. The app also delivers real-time access, keeping users informed and their bike secure offering peace of mind.
