Litelok Gold goes exclusive with Evans until September

Litelok has announced an exclusive arrangement with Evans Cycles, which will sell the firm’s take on cycle security in 44 of its city centre branches and online.

Exclusive until at least September, Evans is the beneficiary of a product that has gathered some decent momentum online in response to its “Boaflexicore” technology – a built-tough multi-layered flexible strap that still achieves gold level security.

Made in Wales, the Litelok is said to withstand attacks from cable cutters, bolt croppers and hacksaws, all while laying claim to being the lightest Gold standard lock on the market at 2.4 lbs (1.1 kg). Furthermore, two Liteloks can be combined with the same key for extra security or length.

Jimmy Challis, accessories buyer at Evans Cycles said: “We’d read about this small, innovative, British company bringing something new and exciting to the relatively static landscape of locks, so had to find out more. We met with Neil and his team and he told us about the quality of both Litelok’s unique material and the manufacturing process. After testing the product out for ourselves, we knew it’d resonate really well among our urban cycling customers. Cities are smothered in heavy, clunky, non-versatile D-locks – so it’s great to be involved with a product that’s offering something so different.”

Litelok is available in three colours: Crow Black, Herringbone and the striking Boa Green. They retail at £85.00 or twin packs at £160.00.
