Moots president Butch Boucher resigns, Whittington takes interim control
Moots has announced that President Butch Boucher is resigning from his role effective September 1, 2017.
Butch will continue to work on a part-time basis focusing on driving Moots’ manufacturing processes. In the interim, Brent Whittington will assume all responsibilities until a replacement is named.
“It has been an honor to work with Butch since I purchased Moots Cycles,” said Whittington. “Butch has played a critical role in driving quality at Moots and has been instrumental in moving our product forward with recent improvements in our finish options and incorporating 3D printing technology into our processes. We pride ourselves on building the finest bicycles and I’m thankful for all Butch’s contributions in that regard. The team and I will be working hard in the short term to continue driving excellence while I also search to find the right candidate to lead Moots in the future.”
“Over the last 3 years as President of Moots I have been fortunate to work with our crew to bring new technology to production titanium frames, anodized finishes, more machined parts in house and several new bike models,” said Boucher. “Also in that time we have applied new marketing strategies and strengthened our dealer base with some of the highest quality shops around the world. The time is right for new leadership and for me to use my time at Moots to focus on working with the folks on the shop floor.”
