Positive Sports Solutions lands distribution deal with Ryders Eyewear

Positive Sports Solutions has agreed a distribution partnership with cycling accessory brand Ryders Eyewear.

This deal is the latest in a string of contracts landed by the South African distribution company, whose mission is to make high-end brands available to the market in the SA Development Community.

Founded in Vancouver, Canada, three years ago, Ryders Eyewear has established itself as a lead cycling accessory brand, with its products already distributed throughout SA on a small scale.

Simon Edmonds, of Ryders Eyewear, said they were delighted to join forces with Positive Sports Solutions to expand their operations in SA: “By a happy coincidence, we work in the same office block as Positive Sports Solutions in Irene and I was interested to see if there was any synergy between the two companies in terms of promoting our products.

“This led to a meeting with Lynette, whom I knew from many years in the cycling industry. It led her trying out some of the Ryders technology and the rest is history.”

Lynette Burger is part of the Demacon Ladies Cycling Team who have recently had their sponsorship with Positive Sports Solutions renewed for 2019.

“It will be a major boost for us to link up with Positive Sports Solutions because of their great brands, great structures and great energy. These are all important factors in our relationship and I am very comfortable working with Lynette and David (Positive Sports Solutions product and technical manager).”

Ryders sunglasses manufactures its frames in the East while the lenses are produced by Essilor in France, developed with an anti-fog feature, colour enhancement, photocromic and polarised options, velo polar and impact resistance.

David Pieterse, Positive Sports Solutions Product and Technical Manager, said: “All available products are listed on our website and any other preferences can be ordered through us and will generally be readily available. But if an item isn’t in stock, it should be available within two to three weeks.”

Positive Sports Solutions will distribute the products through cycling shops and their online website.
