ROCA Sports takes on BMC distribution for Ireland

BMC Switzerland is to re-enter the Irish market alongside cycling distributor ROCA Sports.

With plans to roll out a dealer program in time for the MY18 range’s appearance, ROCA benefits from co-founder and sports director Nicolas Roche’s transfer to the BMC Racing Team.

“It’s a natural step for ROCA Sports and, after spending many hours around BMC Switzerland staff and getting to know the brand and its values at training camps, it is very clear that BMC has a deep understanding of what the modern cyclist wants. It is great that we can now bring such a high-end product backed with such expertise to shops in Ireland,” commented Roche.

John Glett, BMC’s chief business development officer described Ireland as a “very attractive market”.

He said: “we are aware of the constant development of the sport, the passion for cycling and the heritage for the sport in Ireland. By partnering with ROCA we will leverage the increase in brand awareness that Nicholas Roche brings, now that he is riding for BMC’s Racing Team, to grow our business.
