Salsa Cycles issues recall notice on Cowbell and Cowchipper bars

QBP-owned Salsa Cycles has this week issued a recall notice affecting all Salsa Cowbell and Cowchipper Carbon Handlebars sold between December 2017 and 10th August, 2022.

Retailers carrying these lines are asked to remove them from sale immediately and inform any customers that may have purchased the two products within the specified timeframe.

The affected product numbers are as follows:

Salsa Cowbell Carbon Drop Handlebar – Carbon, Black, All Sizes
Part numbers: HB8340, HB8341, HB8342, HB8343, HB8344

Salsa Cowchipper Carbon Drop Handlebar – Carbon, Black, 38-46cm
Part numbers:HB8350, HB8351, HB8352, HB8353, HB8354
In Market Since: 28th December 2017

Salsa Cowchipper Carbon Drop Handlebar – Carbon, Black, 48-52cm
Part numbers: HB9046, HB9047, HB9048
In Market Since: 6th March 2020

Any Salsa Cycles product shipped since July 1st will not be included in this recall.

UK distributor Lyon Equipment will be in touch with accounts shortly to detail the next steps of the recall. It told CI.N: “We are awaiting further information from Salsa and will be in touch with you next week to detail further actions you will be required to take.
