Scam websites appear for FSA, Vision, SRAM

Various high profile bike industry brands are once again reporting a rise in registration of scam websites purporting to represent businesses.

Earlier this month SRAM issued a notice warning that it had encountered a string of fraudulent websites purporting to sell its goods at discounted rates. In this instance SRAM has reportedly “taken action” against the website sramcycling.com, which at the time of writing remains live.

This is a trend that seems to come and go, having previously targeted social media users with false Facebook advertising, among other methods. Scott, Pinarello and Cube have all previously been victims to the practice.

Today FSA and Vision has written “Recently, we have noticed an increase in websites and e-commerce sites that are falsely and deliberately referring to FSA and VISION without authorization.

“We would like to remind you that the only official company websites are:

https://www.fullspeedahead.com/
https://www.visiontechusa.com/
https://www.fsaproshop.com/

“Any other site, which uses names like our brands, is to be considered unofficial and we do not consider these sites to be safe sales channels and advise against their use.

“FSA and Vision products are sold only through our official distributors, authorized retailers or through our corporate sites listed above.”

Back in January Cane Creek likewise reported scam websites attempting to lure its customers into buying from an unknown source.
