Swiss start-up teases e-bike with 211 mile single charge range

Swiss company Revolt Zycling AG will be showcasing an e-bike capable of riding from Zurich to Geneva – 340 KM / 211 Miles – on a single charge, at Eurobike 2022.

Close crop image of hub motor and Gates Belt DriveIn Hall 12, Booth D03 the business will be displaying e-bikes equipped with a 1670Wh (approx. 256 km per charge) battery, with the option for an optional 470Wh range extender (+84 km range).

The bikes are equipped with a 9 or 12 speed Pinion gearbox, offering a wide 600 % ratio range, paired with, and powered by, an 850W rear mounted brushless hub motor, via Gates Belt Drive. Power output clearly marks the bikes as S-Pedelec, and as such feature Magura MCI 4 piston brakes with ABS function, along with 203mm rotors, to generate the required stopping power.

The bikes, called Opium 6.0 and 4.0, both feature an S-Pedelec optimized upside down fork with 45mm of travel, ABS integration dropout, and customized mudguards mounts. Integrated lighting comes in the form of a Lupine headlight with a stated full beam power of 3000lumen. Completing the hardware package are full length mudguards, the rear of which having an integrated rack.

Controlling the bike comes via an app called ‘Fit’. Little detail is given at this time, beyond stating that the ‘technology which has covered more than 500 million test kilometres.’ The bikes do show an integrated head unit, which offers battery charge status and other e-bike typical ride data.

Revolt Zycling AG are looking to open pre-orders in July this year, with insideevs.com reporting first deliveries expected in 2023.
