Troy Lee Designs appoints former Volcom boss to CEO role
The former CEO of skate label Volcom has taken the reigns at the top of Troy Lee Designs, the founder Troy Lee has announced.
Jason Steris has spent the past 20 years elevating the Volcom brand to the status it commands today as a recognised global action sports and lifestyle business, and one that’s worth an estimated $300 million in sales.
In an email sent out by the Troy Lee founder, Steris was said to have been chosen for his wealth of experience in taking a business to the next level.
“Jason has a wealth of industry experience that I am confident will benefit TLD as we take the business to the next level. Jason has a deep appreciation of our brand heritage and he and I have a shared vision for where we want to take the business in the future,” said Lee.
“This company, our team, and the TLD brand mean so much to me and I’m grateful for your continued support as we take Troy Lee Designs to the next level in the years ahead,” he added.
Troy Lee Designs has been distributed in the UK by Saddleback Ltd since last year. The Yate distributor’s house show concludes this evening. Troy Lee’s 2019 portfolio is on display for visitors still able to make the journey.
