Voncrank expands for 2019 with more mechanics, new van & greater coverage

Mobile bicycle repair app, Voncrank, is continuing to grow its offering as a service app having announced the addition of two full-time mechanics and a branded, convertible van.

The expansion aims to increase Voncrank’s breadth of coverage and ability to offer flexible times of service for those in need of bicycle maintenance at home, work, or by the roadside. The new van was unveiled at last weekend’s London Bike Show.

The new additions come as a result of the brand’s growth in 2019, as it looks to consolidate the number of mechanics who pick up jobs though the app. With a total of over 1,700 bikes serviced during 2018, Voncrank has ambitions of doubling this figure in 2019 with a continued focus on London. With a coverage zone spanning anywhere inside the M25, the app can provide qualified mechanics to service all bike shapes and sizes, including e-bikes.

Voncrank Founder, Cariern Clement-Pascal, said: “Last year was a strong year for the platform but it also gave us plenty to think about when looking at how we can grow and make sure that we’re able to service people across the capital. With the addition of full-time mechanics and a new mobile van in the fleet we will be able to service the increasing demand in riders in need of assistance.”

In 2018, over 70% of completed jobs through the app were in London, where the company is looking to focus its efforts. Jobs completed in other major cities in the UK depend on the availability of Voncrank’s mechanics, with expansion around the UK being something that’s planned further down the line.

Voncrank currently has over 90 partners (mechanics) registered on the platform and is looking to increase this number. Those interested in joining the growing number of mobile mechanics under the company’s umbrella can easily sign up on the app.
