Bike shops show up in record numbers for new format iceBike*
The new two-venue format of Madison and Sportline’s recently concluded iceBike* trade show has been judged a success, according to early feedback.
This year’s iceBike* was a milestone trade show, returning for the first time since 2020 and taking place over two venues for the first time. Running for two days in Manchester at the National Cycling Centre, before heading to London’s Tobacco Dock for a further two days, iceBike* was taken closer to the doorsteps of more bike dealers than previous editions of the show.
Trade visitors had chance to connect with recent Madison signings like Knog and see Shimano’s new CUES.
Madison and Sportline CEO Dominic Langan told CyclingIndustry.News: “I could not be happier with the two-venue format of iceBike* 2023. We have received so much positive feedback from our customers who appreciated us holding the show in both Manchester and London and also holding the event on a Sunday and Monday for the first time.
“The new format is very demanding for the business but anything worth doing well takes effort and we were rewarded by attracting the highest number of visitors in iceBike* history. I could not be more proud of my team and how hard they worked in making the show the success it was and also the invaluable support of our suppliers who had travelled from as far away as Australia, the USA and all over Europe to represent their brands and to talk to all our customers. I think iceBike* 2023 has laid some very solid foundations for the year ahead.”
