Boyd Cycling expands wheel trade-in programme for October

Boyd Cycling has announced it is expanding its wheel trade-in programme to include any wheelset of any brand and in any condition throughout October, in an effort to help aspiring cyclists.

People are encouraged to send Boyd their used wheels, for which it will cover the shipping costs, to receive a trade-in deal of 20% off any wheelset model in any category; cyclocross, gravel, road or mountain.

The October trade-in expands on Boyd’s standard trade-up programme previously limited to Boyd Cycling wheels only, with all wheels receiving a quality check on arrival and donated to a junior rider if deemed in good condition.

“The trade-in is open to wheels of any condition, but we really want to encourage people to trade in wheels that are in rideable condition,” said company owner and namesake, Boyd Johnson. “There are so many junior riders throughout the company who could use a set of wheels, even if those wheels are not the latest and greatest.

“We have contacts with development teams and shops throughout the country and are thrilled that, together with our customers and our dealers, we can all help aspiring cyclists.”

Wheels can be traded directly through Boyd Cycling’s Greenville, SC facility or through its dealer network, meaning you can support juniors in your respective community.

Bike shops which would like to participate in the trade-in programme and support local junior racers, or are interested in becoming a dealer, can do so here.
