Carmarthen’s Cranc Cyclesport shuts doors citing “relentless discounting”
Welsh bike and triathlon store Cranc Cyclesport has announced its closure citing “relentless discounting” online as its reason to close the doors.
In business for five years, the final day of trading will fall on July 13th. Andy Rowlands, the store’s owner posted to the shop’s Facebook page:
“The cycling industry has endured considerable turmoil in the past 12 months and the relentless discounting by online retailers has made this local independent bike shop untenable.
“The decision to close is considered, structured and made on my terms. We will be closing the shop in good order with all bills paid, maintaining our professionalism throughout.”
