Forest Flex user base grows 500% as subscription rides surge

London eBike operator Forest’s subscription programme has witnessed strong growth, averaging over 10,000 rides per day.

The company stated that the user base of the Forest Flex subscription programme had grown by 500% since its launch earlier this year. Costing £6.99 a month, the subscription programme gives riders unlimited access to 10-minute rides for £1 and 30-minute rides for £1.70.

The growth of Forest Flex comes during one of the capital’s hottest summers on record. Data from Forest reveals that commuting was the most popular use of Forest Flex’s 30-minute tier, with subscribers saying that switching to cycling makes their commute less stressful, while offering greater flexibility and more time in the fresh air.

“Since launching Forest Flex, we’ve seen an incredible response from Londoners looking for a more affordable and flexible way to get around the city,” said Michael Stewart, Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Forest. “Forest Flex offers just that, providing better value than the Tube and other shared eBike subscriptions in the Capital.”

In July, Forest launched its service in Ealing with 900 eBikes, expanding its network to 20 boroughs across the city. Until the end of August, pay-as-you-go riders can use the bikes for just £1 for every ride that starts in Ealing.

Following the expansion, Forest is the only eBike operator in London offering services between Ealing and its three neighbouring boroughs of Brent, Hounslow and Hammersmith & Fulham.

The expanded network is further supported by Forest’s nearby 65,000-square-foot warehouse facility on Hythe Road in Hammersmith & Fulham, which borders Ealing and enhances operational efficiency across the area.
