Former Specialized employees launch marketing agency for bike shops, Unearth

Anne Brillet and Andrew Richardson have launched Unearth Marketing, a London-based marketing agency designed to work with independent bike shops.

The new agency will focus on independent businesses and will offer support with traditional and digital marketing, as well as events and content. To make it affordable, Unearth has created unique, rolling-subscription packages.

The duo, former Specialized Bicycles employees, said: “Over the past five years, there’s been a colossal shift in the way stores are scaling up their operations. Custom content, instead of bike-brand provided, generic shots, are on the rise, and differentiating yourself from the rest of the market is more important than ever.”

“We’ve worked for some of the best in the cycling and outdoors industries for many years and launching Unearth seemed like the next logical step. From the current economic and social challenges, we believe in a new era for cycling where the general population is wising up to the benefits of our sport. We’re here to support retailers in creating a solid marketing strategy to attract each and every one of these new customers whilst retaining existing ones.”

Richardson is at the helm of creative content, while the firm said it brings a depth of experience when it comes to planning and producing stories, to generate real, impactful leads and provides retailers with A-grade photography and video content. Unearth said it’s a one-stop-shop for marketing needs, covering everything from merchandising to store branding, events management to digital solutions.
