Raleigh signs distribution deal with MET Helmets
Raleigh has followed its distribution deal with Bluegrass by signing sister brand MET Helmets, which it will supply exclusively for shops in the UK and Ireland.
Commenting on the new partnership, Raleigh UK Brand Manager, Andrew Deacon, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with MET Helmets in the UK market, bringing products of this calibre to our trade customers is an extremely rewarding experience. Their product portfolio offers an impressive range, covering the full spectrum from sports performance road and MTB helmets, through to their stylish urban helmets and popular youth category. We’re confident that this new partnership will add incredible benefit to our trade customers and be well-received.”
MET has established a premium position in the cycling market, with expertise built on more than 25 years of in-house manufacturing. Based in Italy, the firm is among those helmet labels putting each helmet through a highly rigorous test process as conducted in its in-house test lab.
For shops interested in the portfolio, the ranges are led by flagship models such as the pictures Trenta 3K Carbon, which is constructed for high performance and carries an embedded carbon cage that provides top-level ventilation.
For those more interested in mountain biking, the Parachute MCR features exclusive technology in the Magnetic Chinbar Release that instantly and easily converts from full to open-face helmet and back.
When detailing the opportunities for IBDs with Raleigh as Met’s distributor, Deacon goes on to say: “Our initial focus for the Met brand in the UK will be to develop a network of independent stores. Various support options will be available to assist the merchandising of products in store and we’ll be following this up with a comprehensive consumer marketing campaign during the season to drive sell through in stores.”
Commenting on behalf of Met, Jo McAleer, Business Development Manager said: “Firstly we’d like to take this opportunity to thank our sales team who have helped us over the years with our direct business in the UK and Ireland.
“By partnering with Raleigh, MET stockists will have access to industry leading logistics that will be fully supported by a strategic brand campaign. We are confident that this new collaboration will open up many opportunities to increase our retailer network and further establish our presence as a top cycling brand on the UK market.”
MET Helmets will be available to order from Raleigh beginning 1st March and stores are advised to contact their Raleigh Area Account Manager, or visit www.RaleighB2B.co.uk for further information.
