Praxis enters MTB wheel arena with aluminium and carbon offerings

In partnership with DT Swiss, Praxis has entered the mountain bike wheel segment with two platforms.

“We were already strong in drivetrains, so this is a naturally progression,” said Praxis’s Adam Haverstock. “We’ve designed these to be as user friendly as they can possibly be, with easily sourced spoke replacements, overbuilt flanges and custom rim designs built for strength.”

Both an aluminium and a carbon wheelset are soon to be available, with samples currently with distributors around the globe.

The AL24, as the name suggests is the entry wheelset at $699 and will come specced with a DT370 stock hub and with details on the rim such as a flat valve entry hole to ensure it sits straight. Like the carbon, this will come in both 27.5 and 29-inch sizes and will meet popular axle standards once launched intot the market. The ’24’ relates to the inner rim width.

The C32 is entirely Praxis’ own tooling and design and will roll on a custom hub made by DT. A custom rim offers 3mm of aysmetrical offset, as well as a hookless beadlock channel. The suggested retail price in dollars is $1,799.
