Ribble enters Germany with new ecommerce platform
Following last week’s news that Ribble is to open a bricks and mortar branch in Birmingham, the firm has also revealed plans to launch a dedicated ecommerce for the German market.
Having grown year-on-year turnover by 45%, the firm has previously tested the water with dedicated Australian website. Ribble.de will again sport the same online BikeBuilder, offering dynamic image changes as different components are elected, allowing customers the chance to visualise the finished product before purchase.
For those who require a greater degree of customisation, Ribble’s Advance BikeBuilder opens access to a complete range of finishing kit, wheels and groupsets.
Jon Owen, Ribble Cycles CEO said: “Launching our dedicated German website, Ribble.de, is going to make a huge difference to the shopping experience for our German customers.
“With our unique online BikeBuilder we are truly bringing something brand new to the German customer. BikeBuilder delivers a level of customisation that no other online bike manufacturer can match. As cyclists ourselves, we know it’s important to have the right bike; often it’s those finer details and personal preferences that matter the most.”
Owen added: “For Ribble, it’s an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of cycling in Germany. 2017, our 120th anniversary year, is also a particularly significant one for German cycling with the Tour de France Grand Depart taking place in Dusseldorf.”
